Lower Back Pain

Lower back pain is a common form of back pain which generally occurs in people of almost all age groups. It is also known as "Backache".

The acute or short term back pain usually affects the patients from 2-3 days to 2-3 weeks. Most acute back pain is mechanical in nature. The result of trauma to the lower back such as arthritis.

Exercise which is the most effective way to speed recovery from low back pain. It also helps strengthen back and abdominal muscles. It may occur with movement, and also it may even occur with coughing and sneezing.

Now days the number of back injuries in the workplace is decreasing, perhaps because awareness of the problem has increased and preventive measures have improved. It is a painful, prolonged, costly and frustrating experience. Most low back pain can get better if you stay active, avoid positions and activities that may increase or cause back pain, this problems affect the spine's flexibility, stability, and strength, which can cause pain, discomfort, and stiffness.It is the connection between the upper and lower body. It also bears most of the body’s weight.

Lower Back Pain causes

  • Injury to muscles, ligaments, facet joints, and the sacroiliac joints.
  • Low back pain reflects nerve or muscle irritation or bone lesions.
  • Obesity, smoking, weight gain during pregnancy, stress, poor physical condition, posture inappropriate for the activity being performed, and poor sleeping position also causes of the lower back pain.
  • Sitting in chairs that are not ergonomically proper for your back, or standing for long periods of time often increase back stress and cause lower back pain.
  • Fractures of the vertebrae caused by significant force. a direct blow to the spine, or compressing the spine by falling onto the buttocks or head.
  • Narrowing of the spinal canal.
  • Disc breakdown.
  • Spasms.
  • Tense muscles.
  • Ruptured discs are the mechanical problems with the back which can cause pain Slipped discs, pinched nerves, sciatica, aging, and infections are other common causes of lower back pain.
  • Common causes of lower back pain are slipped discs, pinched nerves, sciatica, aging, and infections.

Commonly it occurred in people who are not fit. You may suffering from the back pain in both of the condition ,your job, If you have to lift, push, or pull while twisting your spine, you may get back pain.and if your work at a desk all day and do not sit up straight.Most low back pain can be treated without surgery.
