Medications for back pain

Medications are very effective for the pain relieve. Numerous medications are available for the treatment of back pain. The medications work well to control lower back pain. The some of the medications are used for the back pain and it is very useful.

  • The anti-inflammatory medication such as Advil or Naproxen are used to to relieve the pain and spasm.
  • Narcotics produce a sense of well-being and remove the pain.
  • Paracetamol is very useful for the full strength. The direction for taking an adult is 1000 mg four times a day.
  • Opioid Medications such as hydrocodone, morphine and methadone.
  • Nutritional substances such as L-tryptophane, 5-hydroxy-tryptophane.
  • The Cox-2 inhibitors such as Vioxx and Bextra is used for the back pain.
  • Two meta-analyses provide muscle relaxants.
  • Anesthetic injections - The anesthetic injections such as facet joint injections, epidural injections.
  • Nonprescription medicines such as used to reduce pain include aspirin, naproxen, ketoprofen and ibuprofen.
