- Invite depressed person for movie, shopping, trip or for walking. Encourage them for taking part in activities which gives happiness to the patients.

- Medicines - Antidepressant drugs are primarily helpful to over come from depression.
- Psychotherapy - Psychotherapies like cognitive behavior therapy or talk therapy are useful in the treatment of depression.
- Enough sleep, withdrawal from drinking and smoking and counseling also helps for reducing depression.
