Menopause Depression
When women’s menstruation cycle stops period after that is called as menopause. During this time both physical and emotional changes occur which is responsible for depression or anxiety. Generally 8 to 15% women experiences depression in menopause. Chances of arising depression and stress in perimenopause and menopause are high because level of estrogen becomes low.

- Psychotherapy - It may use separately or along with drugs. Psychiatrists try to change the thoughts and negative thinking of menopause women to get rid of depression. Cognitive behavioral therapy and Interpersonal therapy are basically used in Psychotherapy.
- Other Treatments - Exercise, diet, home remedies, stress management and support from family members also helps in reducing depression to some extent.

- Don’t stay alone. Talk with family members or friends to get rid of depression.
- Participate in activities which give you enjoyment.
- Take sleep for sufficient time even if you aren’t sleep take rest for that time.
- Avoid drinking alcohol and caffeine, or smoking as it may helpful to reduce depression.
