Idea About Testosterone Depression

Depression that occurs because of low level of free testosterone in men is known as testosterone depression. Testosterone level in men reduces because of increase age. When level of Testosterone in aging man becomes low in the men’s body then many times man undergo depression. Symptoms which are arising because of depression many times misunderstand as symptoms arise because of low testosterone. If it remains untreated then it may lead to suicidal stage.

About Testosterone

Testosterone is male sex hormone which is necessary for reproduction. But this testosterone level becomes low because of mainly increased age. Men between ages 40-60 nearly show 7% reduction in testosterone level. About 20% reduction in testosterone at an age of 60-80 may happen and above 80 about half male show low testosterone. Because of this depression becomes most important part of low testosterone level

Effect of Testosterone on Depression

Various study and experiment is carried out to study how testosterone and depression is related with each other. Because of aging level of testosterone becomes low and because of these low level many men undergo through depression. Generally About 50% old men suffer from this problem. When with the help of some method level of testosterone goes to normal depression which occur is also vanish along with increased level of testosterone.

Treatments to Reduce Testosterone Depression

  • If level of testosterone is increased then symptoms of depression automatically vanishes. So to reduce depression level of testosterone should be increased.
  • Rub testosterone gel at night on the body. This method is most effective and increases level of testosterone to great extent.
  • Low level testosterones are injected in men’s body to increase testosterone level and ultimately to reduce depression.
  • Testosterone patches are also used to reduce testosterone depression.
  • Androgel is used to greatly because drugs which are failed to enhance testosterone are increased by androgel.
