Sexual Health in Man and Woman

There is evidence to demonstrate that men who are single and have no lasting relationships tend to die at an earlier age than to their married counterparts. Although this statistic cannot wholly be explained by the beneficial effect of a healthy sex life, it seems likely that it does play some part in improved levels of health for men.

Sexual Health advice for Male and Female

Although predictions indicate that, in the next decade, the number of people marrying or remaining in long-term relationships may decline, stable relationships offer most people a much more satisfying sex life. When the novelty and excitement have worn off in a new relationship, there are lots of advantages from remaining with one partner rather than looking for the next one.

When you share a bed with somebody long term, there is greater intimacy, with less pressure to perform. Sex becomes more relaxed, less hurried and frenetic, and as time goes by, there is greater opportunity to vary sex, and to find out exactly what your partner enjoys.

Often people in long-term relationships have better levels of communication generally, leading to a less stressful life outside the bedroom. Happy, relaxed people live longer.Importantly, sexual health is more likely in a stable relationship with a faithful partner.

Finally, one of the great advantages of enjoying a long-standing sexual relationship is that sex is likely to continue into old age. Most older people find sex just as desirable and exciting as they did in their younger days. Usually the sex is less frequent, but more relaxed and less hurried. Women may even find it more enjoyable because there is no possibility of becoming pregnant.

Health Tip

The presence of coarse hair on the upper lip, chin and cheek is a common problem in women. It needs to be medically investigated to rule out an underlying cause (e.g. polycystic ovarian syndrome). Excess hair can be removed by various methods that include shaving, tweezing, waxing, chemical depilation and electrolysis.
