Food poisoning happens because of harmful bacteria, viruses and poisonous substances with lowered resistance known as toxins. in U.K. around 10,000 people die because of food poisoning and more become ill. Food-related infections can also be caused by parasites.

  • Always wash your hands before handling food items.
  • Wash the utensils before use.
  • Always store the food in the right place, temperature and time.
  • Keep the kitchen and personal hygine good to control the spread of harmful germs.
  • Do not cut meat and vegetables, salad on the same board.
  • Keep raw meat and fish covered and store at the bottom of the fridge.
  • Rinse fruits and vegetables in the running water very well before eating.
  • When you are not sure whether the food is fresh or not, don't it throw it out .
  • Drink only pasteurized milk and juice.
  • Sanitize cutting boards and countertops.
  • Do not eat raw or lightly cooked sprouts.
  • Keep hot foods and cold foods separate.
  • Take your shopping home quickly and store it immediately.
