How to Open of a Stuck Jar Lid?

  • The one way to open a sticky jar is to put a rubber band around the lid and add a grip.
  • If the problem is with grip use a dry dish cloth that wi il help you to get a better grip of both for jar and also lid.
  • Sometimes running hot water over and around the cap is useful to loose the lead.
  • To open a stuck jar lid use a spoon or fork. Just keep end the handle of under the lid and gently pick it upwards.Just moving around the lid like this it will loose the seal.
  • Hold tightly the lid of the jar or bottle on the edge of the table, turn in 180 degrees. It will help to release the vacuum.
  • To loose the cap use a sharp tap on the side of the cover in the direction of the opening grooves to remove the cap from the sticky substance. This may help to remove the vacuum.
  • Hold the jar upside down and pour warm vinegar around the neck.
  • Rotate the jar around so hitting in a different spot each time.
  • Wrap a wide elastic around the lid. Turn the lid as normal. The elastic gives you added grip for removing vacuum.
