Red Bumps and Waxing

Red Bumps is one of the side effects of waxing. A small red colored bump occur on waxed area after waxing. Chances of occurring red bumps is different for different individual. Red bumps may occur immediately after waxing or after some period of time. Most of the time red bumps which arise immediately will disappear after few days automatically. If red bumps are lasts for more days then it is considered as indication for infection. Depending upon your waxed area red bumps may occur at the places.

Why Red Bumps Occur After Waxing

  • If person having delicate skin then there is high chances of red bumps.
  • If wrong technique is applied during waxing then probability increases for red bumps.
  • If type of wax is not suitable for your skin then red bumps might occur.
  • Red bumps mostly arise if strips are pulled in wrong direction.

Prevention of Red Bumps During Waxing

  1. Do mild exfoliations of skin with the help of salt scrub product or shower gel before waxing so that follicle of oil, dead skin and debris will detach from skin.
  2. Take warm shower or apply warm compress before waxing helps in opening of pores so that hair follicle easily come out reducing chances of red bumps.
  3. After several time of waxing skin may adjust with waxing phenomenon and reduces red bumps change wax if it is not at all suitable on you.

How to Get Rid of Red Bumps?

  • Application of after wax cream or aloe vera gel can help in stopping red bumps after waxing.
  • Some doctors prescribe medicines or lotion to treat red bumps.
  • Wait for couple of days after waxing, red bumps will automatically disappear from skin.
  • Application blue oil is recommended for treatment of red bumps which occur as a result of waxing.
