Beautiful Eyes
They say the eyes are the windows to the soul. Eyes reflect emotion, intelligence and life experience. The beauty that eyes possess goes beyond the pigment and hue.
Surely everyone has a preference to eye color. Some fall head-over-heels for blue eyes, while others are passionate about green. Still others insist that only brown or hazel will do. But, it is really the color that attracts a mate, or the character that pours from the stunning shade?
What is it about staring into a lover's eyes that sends his mate into heavenly bliss?
Is it simply the shade of blue that makes the world seems to disappear? Could it be the depth of green that sends his heart into flight?
Or, is it something much more romantic? Eyes speak words that lips will never form. Through the eyes connections are made that are so deep and true that distance and time cannot negate what bond is set.
A man can convey his deepest emotion to his bride on their wedding day, simply by staring into her eyes before their first kiss as husband and wife. A woman can communicate her sincere devotion to her husband with a single loving stare upon the birth of their first child. A child can tell the world of his happiness or sorrow simply by looking into his parent's eyes.
Possibly the most beautiful and amazing sight in the world is the wonder and fascination that gleams from a newborn's eyes as he discovers the world around him. How rewarding it is to gaze into a newborn's eyes and see the innocence that permeates his soul. The entire world is beautiful through the eyes of a newborn. As they grow and discover more and more of their environment every day, newborns grow into infants, infants grow into toddlers, toddlers become small children, their eyes reflect the growth. Their eyes tell a story as to who they are and where they have been. Perhaps the most beautiful of all eyes belong to children.
A mother's love for her children is reflected in her tender gaze upon her adored young. There is tremendous beauty in the unconditional love a mother bestows upon her children and a direct reflection of that emotion can be seen in the simplicity of her eyes. Through her eyes she watches her young learn and grow. When a small child seeks encouragement, he need only look into his mother's watchful eyes. When he needs comfort, he can attain all the relief he'll ever need in the beauty of his mother's admiring eyes.
When a father watches his little girl take her very first steps, it is in his eyes that she sees his pride in her accomplishment. When he hears her proclaim her love for daddy for the first time, she can see his heart melt through his eyes.
When she grows to her teen years and receives her first kiss, her eyes reflect the excitement and joy of her youth.
When a young man announces his marriage to the woman of his dreams, his eyes proclaim to the world the love he feels in his heart.
When a soldier shakes the hand of the less fortunate in a foreign land, his eyes reveal his sincerity. When he takes a bullet for his dearest friend, fighting in freedom's name, his eyes will assure his beloved there are no regrets.
Raw human emotion is a spectacularly omnipotent splendor. From the darkest of emotions that are the result of tragedy and despair, to the brilliant passion that comes from loving another more than life itself, the eyes reflect sentiment in its purest form. They hold answers to questions often left unasked. They hold questions that have no answers. In any given individual's eyes there is an ocean of thought and emotion that provokes introspection and contemplation.
Yes, the beauty that eyes own is far more than color. Eyes hold every human emotion known to man today and speak to the world experience that words cannot describe.
Souls connect through the eyes. Children bond with their mothers and fathers through the eyes. Siblings grow closer and more connected through the eyes. Grandparents adore their legacy with loving and watchful eyes.
Eyes are a window to not only the soul, but also the entirety of human emotion and that is more beautiful than words can describe.
