General Hygiene
- Eyes should be protected from smoke and dust. You should clean your eyes daily with water or a saline for your eyes.
- Never look directly into the sun and you should be very careful at the time of the solar eclipse.
- If you get a dust particle in your eye, do not rub your eye. Instead, you should dip the eye in a vessel containing pure water and blink, in the end the dust particle will be washed away.
- If there is ever an epidemic of conjunctivitis, you should try to keep away from patients that may have it. A patient that has conjunctivitis should be put in a room by their selves and their clothes should not be used by others, they should be washed and boiled separately.
- You should learn the correct way to use your eyes so that you are not straining them in anyway.
- If you are doing something that could hurt your eyes you should make sure that your eyes are protected. For instance, if you are cutting grass or weed eating then you should wear the proper goggles to that nothing flies into your eyes.
When it comes to your eyes, you have to be very careful on how you take care of them, because you are going to need them throughout your entire life. Be careful around object that can get in your eye. If you are a mechanic then you know that you need to wear goggles if you are welding, if you get glass or shavings into your eye, you can really damage them.
