Signs and Symptoms of PMS

The following symptoms of PMS (Premenstrual Syndrome) may occur:

  • Mood changes, especially anger and aggression
  • Tension
  • Depression
  • Anxiety
  • Sore breasts
  • Headaches (often migrainous in character)
  • Poor concentration
  • Clumsiness
  • Cravings for particular foods
  • Fluid retention

Healthy eating can reduce the symptoms of premenstrual syndrome, particularly if you avoid fatty, sugary foods and caffeine.

Evening primrose oil contains essential fatty acids that are thought to help reduce symptoms of bloating, water retention, stomach cramps, irritability and depression associated with PMS.
