What is Bubonic plague?
Bubonic plague and black death are the same as both are the transmitted disease and caused by bacterium Yersinia pestis. This disease is transmitted from infected rat to the other non-infected rat by the flea bite because when flea bites to the infected rats the disease transmitted to the flea and then flea bites to another rate or human and spread this disease to all.
Causes of Bubonic plague
The Bubonic Plague or "Black Death" was a fatal disease spread by fleas which lived on rats and humans.
Symptoms of Bubonic plague
- fever
- chills
- headache
- bleeding and drying of the blood under the skin.
- enlarged, painful, swollen lymph node
- weakness
- shortness of breathing
- sore throat
Treatment of Bubonic plague
Today this disease is not fatal if treated with antibiotics when first detected. Today, modern antibiotics are effective against plague, but if an infected person is not treated promptly, the disease is likely to cause illness or death.
