Eosinophil - Function, Count of Elevated Eosinophil

This is a test to measure the number of eosinophils (a type of white blood cell) in the blood.

Specimen:

3 ml whole blood in 1 Lavender Top (EDTA) tube and 2 peripheral smears. Transfer whole blood into plastic transport container. Ship refrigerated. DO NOT FREEZE.

Automated Direct Current and Radiofrequency, Microscopy

Value: 40-440/ mm3
